Industrial SLS 3D Printing Production

Industrial SLS 3D Printing Services.

Functional Nylon Parts. Zero Support Structures.

Manufacture tough, end-use parts with complex internal geometries with Chennai's leading SLS 3D printing service. Crenodez utilizes advanced EOS Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology to fuse polymer powders into highly durable, functional components from our manufacturing hub in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Operating a managed powder bed fusion network, we deliver dimensionally stable PA12 Nylon 3D printing solutions to engineers across Chennai, pan India, and globally.

What is Managed Selective Laser Sintering?

Selective Laser Sintering is an industrial additive manufacturing process that uses a high-power laser to selectively bind polymer powder layer by layer. Because the unsintered powder acts as a natural support during the build, 3D printing without support structures becomes a reality. Through the Crenodez managed network, this allows engineers to design previously impossible geometries—including moving assemblies printed in a single piece and complex internal fluid channels.

Industrial Manufacturing

Powered by the
EOS P 396 Ecosystem

For robust mechanical testing and low-volume production, functional SLS rapid prototyping offers distinct advantages over standard FDM or resin printing. To guarantee uncompromising quality, our network relies on the globally trusted EOS P 396.

  • Industrial Build Volumes: With a 340 x 340 x 600 mm build chamber and a 70W CO2 laser, we seamlessly handle both large functional prototypes and dense production batches.
  • Unrestricted Geometry: Print extreme overhangs, internal lattices, and enclosed thin-walled ducting without worrying about support removal or surface scarring.
  • Isotropic Strength: SLS parts exhibit nearly identical mechanical strength in all directions (X, Y, and Z axes), making them ideal for load-bearing applications.
  • Print-in-Place Assemblies: Design and manufacture interlocking gears, hinges, and moving components in a single print run.

SLS vs MJF 3D Printing: Which is Right for You?

While SLS is a legacy powerhouse for nylon parts, modern additive manufacturing has evolved. For clients requiring mid-volume production batches (50 to 500+ parts), superior surface density, and faster cooling times, our engineers frequently recommend upgrading to HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF).

Both technologies utilize PA12 powder, but MJF often yields better isotropic properties and lower per-part costs at scale. Upload your CAD file today, and our team will run a free DFM analysis to recommend whether SLS or MJF is the most cost-effective route for your specific project.

Industrial Polymer Powders

We pair our laser sintering systems with engineering-grade thermoplastics designed for high-stress applications.

  • Nylon PA12 (Standard): The industry standard for SLS nylon parts manufacturing. Offers an excellent balance of strength, stiffness, and environmental resistance. Ideal for functional enclosures and snap-fits.
  • Nylon PA11 (High Impact): A rigid bioplastic with superior impact resistance and higher ductility than PA12. The perfect choice for living hinge 3D printing and crash-resistant drone parts.
  • TPU (Flexible Elastomer): For true rubber-like elasticity, our SLS TPU delivers exceptional tear resistance and rebound. Ideal for flexible gaskets, hoses, and shock absorbers.
  • Glass-Filled Nylon (PA12-GF): Reinforced with glass beads for extreme stiffness, high heat deflection, and dimensional stability. Used for rigid automotive tooling and structural brackets.

ISO 9001 Certified Post-Processing

Raw SLS parts have a naturally powdery, slightly grainy surface finish (typically off-white or grey). As part of our ISO 9001 certified workflow, we offer professional post-processing. This includes media blasting to remove residual powder, vibro-polishing for a smoother tactile feel, and industrial dye-black processing for a uniform, production-ready aesthetic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the surface finish of an SLS printed part?

A: Raw SLS parts have a slightly porous, sugar-cube-like texture. However, we provide vibro-polishing and media blasting to achieve a smooth, consumer-friendly finish upon request.

Q: Do I need to design support structures for my SLS parts?

A: No. Because the parts are supported by the surrounding un-sintered powder bed during printing, you can design extreme overhangs and complex internal geometries without adding any support structures.

Q: Are SLS Nylon parts water-tight?

A: Raw SLS PA12 is naturally porous and is not considered water-tight. If your application requires fluid containment or pressure sealing, we offer specialized sealing coatings or recommend transitioning to our SLA or MJF services.
